Workshops for Groups
In-person experiential workshops to help you connect to yourself and nature, through visualisation, poetry and lino print.
Are you looking for a unique experience for a group of friends or family to connect to yourselves, each other and your surroundings? Or perhaps a new workshop for an existing art or creative group that you are part of?
We run bespoke workshops for local groups (in the north of North Yorkshire and Teesside) of up to eight people. If you can provide a space for us in which to run the workshop, we will bring all the materials and help you connect to yourself, the group, and nature’s magic. No art experience required.
If you have any questions or want to chat about whether our workshops would be a good fit for you right now, just drop us an email to let us know what you’re looking for and where you are located.
Experiential Workshops
This experiential workshop will be on a seasonal theme. You will be led through a nature-based visualisation, read some atmospheric poetry, and supported to create simple lino prints celebrating the natural world and the seasons.
You will be introduced to the basics of linocut (if you need it), in order to create some small prints.
Your individual print will combine with the other group members’ prints to create a collection of small, simple books, so that each person can take one away as a memory of the day. You will also have your lino block that you have carved, so you can make more prints at home if you would like to.
Please note, this is suitable for total beginners as well as those more experienced in linocut. The focus will be less on technique and more on your experience and connection with the process and the topic.

Our Skills & Experience
We each bring our individual skills and experience together to craft each workshop.
Sarah is a printmaker and an art therapist who writes nature-based visualisations and leads people through soothing workshops that connect them with nature’s valuable teachings.
Becky is a printmaker and poet, who has experience running participatory community art projects.
Connecting to ourselves and nature is one of the primary focuses in our life, and living seasonally and connecting to nature’s symbolism is important to both of us.
We work together under Nettle Cottage Prints to bring you a unique experience.
