Workshops for Individuals
We run a variety of workshops to help you connect to yourself, nature and the seasons, some through lino print and others through general art making. Our in-person workshops use visualisation, poetry and lino print to connect to a specific seasonal topic. Our online workshops use visualisation and general art-making (not lino print) to explore our relationship with an element of nature of a personal obstacle.
Experiential Lino print Workshops
Ink and Moonlight: an experiential, nature-inspired lino print workshop
Are you looking to find some magic, wonder and connection in the darkness? In this experiential workshop you will be led through a nature-based visualisation, be read some atmospheric poetry, and supported to create simple lino prints celebrating the natural world in the darkness.
You will then be introduced to the basics of linocut (if you need it), in order to create some small prints. Your individual print will combine with the other group members’ prints to create a collection of small, simple books, so that each person can take one away as a memory of the day. You will also have your lino block that you have carved, so you can make more prints at home if you would like to.
Please note, this is suitable for total beginners as well as those more experienced in linocut. The focus will be less on technique and more on your experience and connection with the process and the topic.
We keep groups small – only eight people – so that there is space for people to share their experiences.

Online Experiential Workshops
Sarah is also an art therapist and writer. She runs online workshops for people who want to connect to themselves and nature using art and visualisation. These workshops are not linoprinting workshops. They are relaxed general art-making workshops, using whatever art material you have to hand. The focus is on what we can learn about ourselves and our needs from our art, rather than technique.
Creative Growth: using art for personal insight
Sometimes it’s challenging to explore and understand difficulties in your life. You may feel stuck, or just want to approach something with new eyes. In this workshop, you will be led through two exercises to help you explore an area of difficulty and open up to different outcomes.
The exercises will include breathing techniques, led visualisations, art making, and group sharing. This is a small private group for up to 7 people.
Monday 11 November, 1 - 2.30pm
Price starts from £15
The Soothing Season
This online workshop uses relaxation techniques and art-making to explore the wisdom and healing power of nature. Exploring a different seasonal theme every other week, these sessions will include a relaxation, a led visualisation on that week's topic, art-making in response to that topic, and sharing your experience via chat. This is a small private group for up to 7 people.
Every other Monday 1 - 2pm
Price starts from £12.50
Our Skills & Experience
We each bring our individual skills and experience together to craft each workshop.
Sarah is a printmaker and an art therapist who writes nature-based visualisations and leads people through soothing workshops that connect them with nature’s valuable teachings.
Becky is a printmaker and poet, who has experience running participatory community art projects.
Connecting to ourselves and nature is one of the primary focuses in our life, and living seasonally and connecting to nature’s symbolism is important to both of us.
We work together under Nettle Cottage Prints to bring you a unique experience.
