The name dog rose comes from a classical Greek myth about a beloved dog being saved from a deadly snake bite using rose petals. chewing on the root was once believed to soothe the bite of a rabid dog. Though in Cheshire they are called cat roses, and pig rose in Cornwall and Devon.

This 7" x 9" off-white mounted print is ready to be placed in a frame of your choice.

This original lino print was carved by hand and printed with non-toxic ink onto handmade lokta paper, which has natural flecks. There are always slight variations in the finished print. This is part of the charm of an original print.

All packaging is 100% recycled, recyclable and compostable.

Your print is coming to you from the wilds of the North York Moors. As we live rurally, we only visit the post office twice a week, on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Packaging

All our packaging is 100% recycled, recyclable and compostable (excluding the very rare occasions where our usual stock is unavailable). Your print will be backed with mount board, and will travel to you in a sturdy, backed cardboard envelope.
